This year, however, nobody was sick! We all took a little walk outside when the snow started falling. I’m looking forward to the days when we’ll build snowmans and throw snowballs, but it was fun this year just to go tramping around the yard.

Grace loves the kitchen we bought for them. Here she is dressed up and ready to do some cooking for us.

Erin LOVES Super Why. It’s her favorite show by far. This little guy is almost inseparable from her these days. It’s too cute to hear her say “Super Why… the power to read!” We can only hope she grows up loving to read so much.

All the decorations are away and all the toys have been played with, but we hope the spirit of Christmas is still with all of you. The birth has come and now we celebrate the life, death and resurrection of the Christ.

The girls were all too eager to help decorate the tree:

We didn’t take the girls trick-or-treating this year. It’s still a little much to walk two two-year-olds up and down the neighborhood. We opted instead to go to a friends’ Halloween party at their house which means we got to dress the girls up and they got a little bit of candy (mommy and daddy confiscated most of it, they haven’t shown a whole lot interest in candy yet and we’d like to delay that as long as possible. Plus mommy and daddy love sweets. Too much.) so they were happy. As it turned out, the weather on Halloween night was pretty lousy, so all the more the reason not be out walking around. The party ended up being a lot of fun and the girls loved their little wood fairy costumes. Grace kept saying “Pretty!” as she wore it around the house.

One of the girls’ new favorite activities is cleaning the table (and the windows and the chairs). It makes us laugh when they insist on us giving them some wipes and they go to town wiping the table down together. We taking this as good sign that day-care does a good job cleaning things and they are learning by example! If only they could always be so insistent on cleanliness in their childhood life.

We started off with Erin who was having so much fun with her toy she didn’t even notice the haircut.

Gracie was next. She tends to be the sensitive one and we thought she might get upset, but nope, she had a blast.

So we’re all styled and looking sharp! We’re so proud of them for being good girls and being so happy during the haircut.

Last weekend, we put together a table for the girls. Ever since, it has become the place for snacks and coloring. Here it looks like the girls are having a deep conversation at the table.

One of the favorite activities of the girls right now is reading books. Here we have reading time with daddy.

Gracie’s always been a “hugger”, but now Erin is starting to get in on the action too. The best part is when she wraps her arms around Grace and then Grace leans her head in on Erin. Erin looks so much bigger in this picture it almost looks like she’s Gracie’s big sister.

This is about the cutest thing we’ve seen in a long time. In this picture, Erin is pretending to “feed” Gracie, handing her imaginary food out of a cup. The best part is that Gracie would then “pretend” chew it and say “yum! yum!” or “more! more!” I guess picky Gracie doesn’t mind whatever good thing Erin is feeding her.

The girls made some presents for mommy at day-care this weekend. See if you can guess which one’s Grace and which one’s Erin. They pretty much fit their personalities.
