<< 6/22-25    Rehearsal

Rehearsals started in earnest this week. Karin and Linford showed up late
Monday night after a long ten hour trip from Cincinnati and an even longer
one hour delay at Canadian Immigration. Things went from bad to worse when
later the same night or very early the next morning someone smashed in the
rear window of their van and stole all of their CDs including the 500 Over
The Rhine CDs they were hoping to sell on the tour. The only CDs the thief
didn't grab were ours - typical home town fan.

Things started looking up as rehearsals began the next day. We quickly
discovered that the glue which had bonded us together on the "Miles From
Our Home" tour was still there. Familiar songs came together without
missing a beat and some of the more challenging new material didn't seem so
challenging.

It was great to hear Margo and Karins' voices together again and hear
Linford find just the right textures and melodies to bring the songs
together.... >>
