On this eve of Thanksgiving, we just wanted to express our gratitude once again to those of you who have helped us make music in this broken, beautiful world. As Karin (the quotable one in the family) still likes to say, Without you, we’d be homeless.
So thank you.
It’s been a long road with many twists and turns, and there is more ground to cover before night falls.
In these uncertain, often disorienting times, we can say one thing for certain: we have never in our lives been more thankful for music than we are today.
We’ll be writing more about this in coming days.
But here is another thing we know: we are feeling the deep, undeniable impulse to (with your help) flood the world with more music. It is time.
This river is going to rise.
Stay tuned. More soon.
In the meanwhile, just a few questions:
Will we see you in these coming days? We fly West on Monday for two weeks. We have a few suitcases full of reality Christmas songs, and they feel as timely and subversive as ever. Let’s be together.

SONGWRITING WORKSHOP
Give yourself, a friend, or a dear family member the gift of music…
Come join us on our farm for an intensive, restorative long weekend of songwriting, February 17-19, 2017. We’ll share some meals together, talk about the most important things that Karin and I have learned as writers, uncover why we’re drawn to certain songs over and over… We’ll do some writing together, find some new tools for the toolbox, laugh and shed a few tears (the good kind). You will see new songs bloom in front of your eyes like little miracles.
All ages and skill levels welcome. Email otrhine@aol.com for more info, and write SONGWRITING WORKSHOP in the subject line.
Please share the above info freely.
We do hope you have a meaningful Thanksgiving.
Peace like a river, love like an ocean,
Linford and Karin
