This coming Saturday, July 15, 2017, Linford and I will be hosting the first Healing Impaired workshop at Nowhere Else, a soulful day retreat on the farm ending with an intimate Over the Rhine acoustic concert. Our colleague and workshop leader, Dr. Jeffrey Baker, will offer conversational thoughts on living with pain and mindful exercises for fostering post-traumatic growth. We’ll share some meals together, and see where the conversations lead.
It’s not too late to reserve a spot if you would like to join us. Please email overtherhineofficial@gmail.com for more information. We’ll make room.
Feeling generous: please consider making a donation to The Over the Rhine Music, Art & Earth Foundation to help sponsor someone interested in attending who can’t afford the small fee to cover meals etc. We are not looking to make money on this – Dr. Baker, Kathleen Kyle our chef, and Linford and I are all donating our time. Please email overtherhineofficial@gmail.com if you are interested in helping.
We all have struggles that will be ongoing that won’t ever be neatly resolved. But regardless of individual circumstances, maybe we can all take a few steps forward by exchanging notes, sharing stories, sharing some meals and music, and processing with a gifted counselor.
We hope to see you on the farm to explore post-traumatic growth and healing – an issue that has become important to us and many in our extended musical family.
Please share the above freely and help us get the word out.
Peace like a river, love like an ocean,
Karin and Linford
