REVIEW BY: hometown boy dave

Columbus, OH 11/29/03.

Susan Enan opened up. 45 minute set. Very good as usual.

OtR hit the stage around 10pm.

As Linford said in the last letter,"We'll be playing these shows as
if they're our last." They meant it. I've only seen them live 5 times, but
this was the best show of them all. Karin was wailing from the first song to
the last. They really seemed to be having fun.

Do not miss this Christmas tour.

Highlights:

Nobody number one - best version ever, Karin was amazing on this one. Very lively.

Lifelong Fling seemed slower than usual and was extended a bit. It gets better
each time I hear it.

Give Me Strength - Karin on piano, Matt Slocum on cello. With a long intro.
Incredibly beautiful.

Let it Be - yes - the Beatles. Karin on piano, Linford on organ doing the Billy Preston thing. Awesome.

Matt - the new guitar guy - played pedal steel, slide, cello, with a great solo on let it be.
Very solid. He nailed I Radio Heaven.

I Let it go - off Cutting Room Floor

Poughkeepsie - somebody requested it so they played it.

Karin introduced everyone , and then introduced herself "I'm Karin Bergquist
and we're Over the Rhine"

Linford still has the beard, but the curls from the hall of fame show have straightened out. Back
to the everyday gorgeous straight look.

Over and out.
