(Apologies for the severe name-dropping to come, but it ain’t name-dropping if it just-so-happens to be your livelihood)

We performed three truly meaningful concerts of our own on the ship.

Thanks also to Sixthman for helping facilitate an in the round performance we were grateful to host in conversation and song on the Stardust stage with three other hardworking musical couples on the boat @themastersons @hayescarll and @1allisonmoorer @drewholcombmusic called Cayamo is for Lovers! We kept it real... no fluff ~ each of us knowing that touring and performing with your partner isn’t for the faint of heart, requires a full toolbox, a deep well and a healthy ~ even sometimes bawdy sense of humor! The audience feedback for a peek behind the curtain was overwhelmingly positive. A high point of the cruise for us.

We also took part in a Laurel Canyon tribute set and performed with our dear friend and colleague @jericheywood who played the acoustic so incredibly beautifully.

We thoroughly enjoyed an opportunity to sit in on a Merle Haggard celebration of song with @robandtrey and friends. So inspiring and fun.

We heard the beautiful blood harmonies of @quebesisters and Sarah and Shawn @watkinsfamilyhour and more.

It was so great to see some old friends, and get caught up a bit and get a hug from @buddy_miller_official @brady_blade @shawnmullinsmusic percussionist and drummer and entrepreneur Mike Meadows. We made some new friends, bore witness to the maritime wedding of sweet Steve Poltz, heard the art of memoir being discussed so thoroughly and openly with Allison Moorer and Rodney Crowell, and shook the hand and swapped a story or two with some of the greats like Mavis Staples and Dan Tyminsky, and finally we saw and heard Brian Wilson and his huge band in person.

Our hearts are so full.

Not to mention those two stops in gorgeous St Croix and Antigua.
