CincinnatiGirl:

Last night's show was AMAZING (Sat.) in many ways. For starters, I was able to muster up enough courage to break out of my shell and finally introduce myself to some of you. It was truly wonderful meeting some fellow apples. All of you were so friendly, fun, and genuine (which is a difficult characteristic to find these days). You guys are absolutely WONDERFUL!!

Onto the show, I thought it was the best show yet. Although, it seems like I say that after every show! But, seriously I thought the synergy of all the musicians on stage was incredibly unified last night. They were definitely ON last night. I really like the mix of K&L, Byron Haus, Devon Ashley, and sometimes Kim Taylor. Powerful.

Firefly!!!! 'Nuff said.... I could barely contain myself when they played it. I know many of us present were very happy! This song is a true masterpiece and I am grateful to have been present during its live debut. (At least I think it was the 1st time they'd played it live.) But, the way Karin played the piano, the vocal range in that song makes her voice so powerful, strong, and beautiful. And, can't forget that aaa-ooo-aaa-aaa... part near the end (wow!) Also, Byron's playing added such a deep dark, yet so intriguing sound (wow, too!). And, I love when Devon comes in with the subtle "thumps," which adds so much drama in the beginning. Then, later in the song during the intense part when everybody's playing, it just grabs you and carries you away with it!

I woke up this morning with a sadness that I feel any time I've gone on a terrific vacation and arrived back home. It was a great vacation last night!
