LINEUP: Karin, Linford, Devon Ashley
REVIEW BY:
great show last night. the lineup was the "power trio" of karin, linford and devon and the sound was great. different take on some of the songs, a little more relaxed versions, a very, very nice sound.
we were treated to a very nice new song (i think it's) called "i'm on a roll", that karin said was finished in the hotel room just before they got to the club. it was very upbeat and as karin has described a couple of linford's new songs, "it has a lot of words". we also were treated to "what i remember most", (an absolutely incredibly beautiful) "bothered", "seahorse/summertime", "fever" (and i feel like i'm forgetting something else "significant" but, it's early), and just before the fisrt set ended, a piano solo from linford along with the story of "unspoken requests" and the reading of a beautiful poem.
we survived the drizzle and sometimes heavy rain that turned into torrential downpour right before the doors opened and were treated to a beautiful, intimate show (w/2 encores) once inside. a beautiful evening of words, music and friends. i'm so ready to do it all again tonight, but it wouldn't break my heart if the rain stayed home tonight...
it was great to see everyone again and meet a few new people too.
i think i got some nice pics, i'll post them tomorrow when i get home.
in need of a diet coke at the moment and then off to play for the day in the 'nati...
