a great show tonight, very similar setlist to what they've been playing
lately. karin and linford were refreshed and well rested since arriving
up here sunday night after some airport delays on their way up here sunday.
playing in the southwest suburbs in hopkins, at the hopkins center for
the arts in a nice community theater, they made everybody feel right at
home with their storytelling and music. a nice crowd, not a sellout, maybe
3/4 full (it wasn't that well promoted, and yeasayer was in town as was
jakob dylan tonight competing for tickets), but there sure were a lot of
dedicated otr fans and lots of newcomers who raved about the band afterwards.
sue and i went with another couple (andy whom i work with and has seen
them before, and his wife liz- her first otr show), another work friend
al (who some of you met at the saturday fall cst back in '06), and we also
ran into erik- ticket to the show. was great to see him again. there was
even a couple who drove all the way from wyoming- yes wyoming- for this
show. wow.
didn't get any pics, as cameras were not allowed. afterwards k&l
came out for a meet and greet with the fans, the line was long and the
merch table was packed. and i'm really lovin' the new songs a lot.
