Following the close of an incredibly busy semester, I needed one of my head-clearing adventures. Instead of heading out to nature, I went to Austin.
The Saturday show was delightful. The setlist was mostly Trumpet Child and the bang-up 3 song jam with Karin at the piano from Ohio - which I love. Mickey and Linford were on point with one another and Mickey was enhancing the percussion on many of the songs. He denied adding a little extra, but I heard it.
Sunday was special as the setlist was as promised, completely different from the previous night. They pulled out If Nothing Else from FFR, which was a highlight. Karin and Linford did Only God Can Save Us Now and Love Hurts. A beautiful coupling. There was a much appreciated dedication to faithful followers before Anything At All. Changes Come continues to be one of my favorite end of set songs.
The crowd was smaller the second night, but just as spirited if not more so. A great couple of shows!
