Well, as the only posting member of the orchard to be at tonight's show, I guess its my job to tell everyone about it.
It was good. Seemed a little short, but good none the less. I think its the only show I've ever been to where both bands playing gave encores.
Hem was interesting. In all honesty, they were not as good as I thought they might be, but interesting none the less. The venue was about half full, and looked a lot prettier than the last time I was there (the wonder ballroom is being restored). They actually set out chairs this time, which surprised me.
They seem to have lost track of the date. The setlist that I snagged says May 6.
Anyways, the set list:

Latter Days
I want you to be my love
Born
Lookin' forward
What I'll Remember most
Little did I know
Hush now
The Seahorse / Summertime
Firefly
Trouble
Drunkard's Prayer

Encore one:
I'm on a roll
Cruel and Pretty

Encore two:
When I go

Karin made a remark about there not being fireflies around here - said something about getting the Ocean instead. smile.gif Linford told an incredible story about this blind piano player right before Summertime. Ummm, what else. Oh yeah - Trouble!!! Karin told a story about how the song was written. She wrote it for him when he was on a speaking engagement and left her all alone. And I'm on a roll is a work in progress, but Linford wrote some interesting lines, lets just say that. I won't spoil the song till you all get to hear it. smile.gif

So, while I must admit it was not the best OTR show I've ever been to, it was nonetheless really good.
Oh, I saw and talked with 80% angel.

The last time OTR was in town they played a much smaller place and I actually sat on stage.
How can you beat that.

Well you can come close.

I really enjoyed tonights show. Hem was fantastic...The third song they did (I dont know their stuff) was
beautiful. Boy their set was long.

OTR was stunning. They really were. But I am biased.

they played many of my favourites ....and I am just happy to see Linford play Piano
which he did so well.

and yes Karen we do have an occasional FireFly....in the Mountains. and when you see one its
kind of extra special.
