Headliners in Louisville

I didn't keep a set list, but is was virtually the same as the show posted at
XU. The band came on just after midnight after a show with 3 openers. WFPK
(public radio) was sponsoring the show during a Public Radio Convention here.
The show was free and the large crowd was a bit rowdy & loud early on. Tim
Easton played prior to OtR and was excellent, I had hever heard him so this
was a bonus. At various times during his set Jack, Linford & Karin wandered
around and hung out behind the CD booth. It was kind of interesting that
hardly anyone noticed or recognized them. I spoke to Karin & Jack both were
very friendly and appreciative of positive comments about the band and Films
for Radio, truly nice people.

The show was great, the band sounded sharp, and the venue was perfect for
them. It is a real "Music Hall" with great sound & accoustics, nice stage and
appreciative audience. By the time they started playing the crowd had thinned
out a little, to mostly the people that were there because OtR was there, not
because of the free show. It was a very powerful set for a 4 piece (I kind of
missed Karin & Terri's harmonies), the new guys fit in well & sounded good.
The "new techno" sounding stuff from "Films" translated very well to the live
show and "Give Me Strength" & "The World Can Wait" (opened the show) were
standouts Karin sounded (and looked) great as usual, Linford seemed unusually quiet.
They seemed to be having fun and in good spirits, Karin talked a little about
Cincinnati & Over the Rhine (the neighborhood) "being in the news lately",
joked a little bit, and introduced Jack as the "porno" guitar player. The show
ended just before 2:00 AM and Jack was hanging out by the bus after the
show...they must have slept well on the way to Nashville, to do it all over
again.
