What a great night in the sauna known as Double Door.
I didn't realize that it was a Brazilian Rain Forest!
Hope you can post some pics Steve, as I never got around to taking
any. I was just too mesmerized right there in front.
The music was wonderful (2 of my very favorite bands on one bill),
Got to meet a couple of Apples- Walrus Steve and Alanjay (very nice
to meet you 2),
We stood dead center stage right in the front (although it was a little
tough trying to make the legs and feet move in any direction at all after
the show- from standing), and got to meet K&L firsthand for the first
time, talk with them after the show and get a setlist and the poster signed
by them (life is good).
Got to 5 record stores- my faves were Evil Clown (the girl behind the
counter personally knows Neko Case and Kelly Hogan, so we had a rather
long chat) and Reckless- and found lots of goodies.
All in all, a great weekend in the Chicago area- topped off by a great
show. And both bands played some new music, and which is sounding real
nice.
