LOCATION: Lincoln Park Festival, Chicago, IL
LINEUP: Karin, Linford
REVIEW BY: JB
A beautiful sunny festival day here in Chicago at the Lincoln Park fest.Karin & Linford took the stage at 5p sharp opening with "The Seahorse" to a nice size crowd. Most right by the stage were diehards others were just standing around chatting and were just "at the fest".It was all very pleasant,as Linford said it was an "all request weekend"just running through some of the faves.Karin's voice sounded great wallowing through the fest PA loud & clear. It was a little chilly as Karin says during "Summertime" "It doesn't feel like summer right now".They ran through 9 or 10 songs in an hour set, everyone the band and the crowd were just kind of going through the motions in anticipation of Aug.19 and the release of the double CD,double vinyl album release of "Ohio" 21 songs in all.Karin said they'll be back in the fall doing"a couple of nights" at Shuba's with the full band !!Something we'll all be looking forward too as this duo thing has kind of lost it's charm and played itself out for them and for sure for the fans. Setlist 1. The Seahorse 2.My Love Is A Fever 3.Fever 4.Bothered 5.All I Need Is Everything 6.Latter Days 7.The World Can Wait 8.Lucy 9.Orphan Girl 10.Poughkeepsie JB........(Da Wildcard !)
