This show was a little bit strange with the tour coming off 4 days of rest. Both bands seemed pretty tired and had a hard time getting into the show. OTR was really quiet between songs and didn't show much emotion anytime, even during songs. The audience was seated (many empty seats noticeable) and extremely quiet which couldn't have helped matters. Still, the music was really nice.
I didn't get all of Over The Rhine's set, but they played at least these songs:
Anything At All
Born
Trouble
On A Roll
Entertaining Thoughts
Five O'Clock Shadow
Firefly
Drunkard's Prayer
My last picture below is an inadvertent, blurry shot I got of their setlist, and maybe somebody who knows their songs better than I do can decipher the songs I'm missing. One tune probably not on the list is one played by request in the encore. Someone in the front row gave Karin a rose, apparently with a request tied to it. She said that that's the way to get a request. smile.gif
Pictures of Hem are at my site on this page along with their full setlist. I also posted a little review of their set at Hem's forum. In addition to what I said there, it was great hearing them play with their drummer Mark. The more instruments there are on stage, the more stunning their arrangements and instrumentation become, and I'm always struck by that live.
Here are a few pictures I took of Over The Rhine. The ones I took of
Linford turned out too dark and awful to share, but I tried! The last one
of Karin is during "Firefly" when she was playing keyboards.

I'm surprised there were no other posts about this show. I had a very
diferent response than you did! I didn't think OTR seemed tired, just thoughtful.
Karin shared a story about dining at her favorite restaurant in Harvard
Square, watching soccer in the hotel room, etc. They opened with Poughkeepsie,
Karin saying that being in Boston inspired a feeling for playing that particular
song. One of my favorites, bringing tears to my eyes. Not sure what you
meant by the audience being quiet; not exactly a rowdy event. Maybe everyone
was as entranced as I. I've not seen Hem before, and I didn't really get
into them. I thought OTR was a tough act to follow, and Hem seemed uncomfortable.
Lots of people left in the middle of their first set which leads me to
believe it was an OTR crowd. Thanks for the great photos.
Does anyone have a complete set list?
