The show last night was nothing short of amazing. The park and the venue were great. It was a smaller amphitheater with really good acoustics. They played a long set which ended with a rendition of Changes Come that brought the goosebumps. Then after an intermission and the sunset, returned with more energy than before. I really am enjoying the BPD with Karin rockin out the piano and Kenny. The newlywedded Jake was particularly spirited as well. Latter Days with just Karin and Linford ended the evening. Overall the energy was high and the band was clicking. I think it was the best OTR show I've seen in awhile. Completely worth the late night arrival back in Pittsburgh.

EdB:
I agree; the show was very good. Just another example of how they keep things fresh (not that they would ever get old). It was the rockin'-est OtR show I've ever witnessed. Kenny was outstanding on all the instruments that he played: elec. guitar, elec. mandonlin, pedal steel and dobro (did I miss one?).

What a pleasant surprise it was to hear them do 'my city was gone'!

When Linford mentioned the Kent Stage (speaking of the couple that got engaged that night last Nov.) a cheer went up. I assumed it was for the venue and indicated that a number of people had made the 45 minute trek up north.

I live in Kent and it was at the Stage that I first saw the band with a friend of mine in April of '04. Last Nov. there were 12 of us and at Cain Park there were 16. My wife, my friends and I just love them and hope they return to Kent soon.

Linford and Karin describe the Kent Stage as a 'drafty old theater with crushed velvet seats and a good vibe". A good description; I might add that the sound system is excellent and there isn't a bad seat among the 600+. It's a great place and one that we're proud of in town.
