Dan Temmesfeld:

Joseph-Beth Booksellers, Cincinnati, OH (just
   outside of Kentucky)
Saturday, August 23rd

 HIGHLIGHTS: Hometown (Norwood) Boy, Suitcase,
Anything At All, Show Me, Fever, Ohio, trivia break
(Drew Vogel, aka D.V., won a framed poster), The
Seahorse, and Summertime. They also had What I'll
Remember Most, Changes Come, and Bothered on the
setlist, but didn't play them. Suitcase was great.
Show Me was better than what I'd heard prior, and
Fever was stunningly sexy (as usual).

BUMMER: I didn't have my OHIO CDs from Paste yet.
I didn't even have them by the time I got home late
Saturday night.
I had K&L sign my Paste Order Confirmation email
instead. I crack myself up sometimes.

OVERALL: Great set, sound was a bit off, but it
was a really fun time. Song highlights were... all
of 'em. It was good to see them in a nice intimate
bookstore venue.

Heather Riddell:

Did anyone else on the list have a chance to attend Joseph Beth in =
Cincinnati last Saturday to see Karen and Linford perform? =20

It was wonderful!!! I came with husband and kids an hour early so we =
could get front row seats, which we did. :) We were within striking =
distance of them both.=20

They played about 10 songs. There were eight from Ohio, as I can =
recall. They also played Fever, and a song from Films for Radio. It =
was really wonderful to hear them perform live. A zillion people showed =
up and Karen remarked it was quite a bit more that the "three" she =
thought would show.=20

Afterwards they signed CDs and you got a free poster (signed) if you =
purchased your CD then.

We are seeing them again this Friday in Lexington Ky. =20

Bill Ivester:

i just got back in from seeing k & l do a promo gig @ a local bookstore in
cinti. once again, incredible performance. the place was packed [my guess
several hundred], i'm kind of amazed at how surprised, happy & thankful they
seem everytime a large crowd shows up for them. i really don't think they
have figured out how large and loyal their following is...maybe that
humility is part of the charm, maybe they are just truly nice, good people
who enjoy what they do and enjoy sharing it with people who appreciate it.
they played for about an hour, opening with "hometown boy" (good choice
considering they probably could have walked to the gig), karin kept looking
at linford and smiling on the line "he's my hometown boy", they rolled
through 8-10 songs from "ohio" & closed with "seahorse" & "summertime". they
signed for everyone who waited, which was most (they also signed & gave out
really cool "ohio" promo posters), giving their time, conversation, laughs,
and stories to all. also there were many friends of theirs (along with
karin's mother) in the audience, which i'm sure was a little inspiring for
them.

all said, the new stuff is even better live, karin's voice as amazing as
ever... it takes very little to get me excited about seeing them... but i'm
ready! friday night @ "the dame" & saturday night @ "moonlight gardens" are
gonna be a blast ya'll, can't wait to hear this stuff with the full band!
