And what a great set list, I was in shock by the 4th song! The only slight disappointment was the absence of The Trumpet Child, which both Karin and Linford have been doing astonishing things with lately.

Chris and I had a fantastic day -- drove through a constant downpour all the way through New Jersey yesterday morning, but the sun came out shortly after we hit the DelMarVa peninsula, and it was a warm and glorious afternoon by the time we got to Annapolis. We enjoyed a couple of hours walking around town where we fortuitously encountered the band outside their hotel ("Wow, I can't believe you guys are in Annapolis -- we're actually playing here tonight!" Mickey quipped). We strolled down Main Street and picked out a nice bottle of Barolo and a hand-rolled cigar to give Linford for his birthday, and then stoked up a couple ourselves down by the harbor and enjoyed the water views for a spell. At 5:00 we met Kelly and her boyfriend Shannon for a very congenial dinner at Ram's Head Restaurant and then headed into the venue next door, where we had great seats right in front of the stage and were soon joined by Eric and his wife Lisa. I was happy to meet Nelson, who came over and introduced himself to me -- I had mistaken him for a Ram's Head employee before the show! Sharon and Emmy (sporting an attractive cast on her arm) were also there, and it was great as always to see them. I got my recording gear set up next to the sound booth and set my levels and then sat down up front to enjoy a great show, which included a birthday cake for Linford during the encore! I hope to have the recording available within a few days, there's quite a bit of crowd noise but otherwise it sounds pretty good.
