This show was easily (for the over the rhine portion) the best Taft show in several years. Just excellent. I especially enjoyed the orchestral accompaniment and the audience sing a long to Silent Night.

Karin looked beautiful, and sounded just as amazing.

It was a pleasure to see all the great folks that come out for these shows. I was able to save Kylie from losing her Orchard shirts, and my wife found a cell phone that belonged to an OTR fan from Chicago, I believe. Wherever the 309 is. I couldn't imagine losing my cell phone in another city. It was great to be able to get it back to the rightful owner.

I was also able to snag Karin's set list:

There was no finale with Mary G. She was listed on the setlist (with question marks) for Silent Night (and she did come out onto the stage) but she didn't sing. She was also listed next to Orphan Girl, but she left the stage before this song began. The audience portion of Silent Night was totally awesome though, and I enjoyed it more than I probably would have enjoyed a duet with Mary.

Also, the second encore of DP, was a little unusual, but there again, it totally worked. The full band (with accompaniment) played the entire song, then Karin left the stage while Linford counted to three, and the rest of the musicians did about 2 minutes of an instrumental wrap up. Karin then rejoined them on stage for their final bows of the evening.

Karin sounded awesome through the entire show. She didn't sound like she was battling anything either when she sang or spoke. Effortless.

I got my orchard sweatshirt thanks to Joel, and I snagged both Clinton's posters and a Snow Angels Tee from the merch stand.

All in all, it was a fantastic evening. I hope to have an equally great day at St E's.
