*NOTE* No Kim Taylor. She called in sick. The regular band tonight,
aside from a very special appearance by the sound guy on tambourine. And
Katie Laur. More on that later.

Wonderful WONDERFUL show! SO glad they did "Only God Can Save Us Now"
- one of my absolute favorites and I've only heard it at Canal Street before.
My kids' first Taft Show, too - yay!
And yeah, I teared up as much as Karin did after that drum solo - and the standing ovation for Mickey afterwards. It just won't be the same without him (but then, I've only been following the band for about 3 years, so he's the only drummer I've seen them play with except for the first night of last year's Taft show).
Just WOW as always

As usual--a great show by the group----it certainly had a very palpable emotional vibe to the show----I liked the way the songs sounded --I really liked the addition of the pedal steel, mandolin and other stringed instruments the fifth musician was playing (I didn't get his name, I am sure that someone knows and will give him proper credit) I also liked the mix of the set list with songs from various releases and I liked the selections of the non-OtR songs---especially "Long May You Run"--one of my favorite Neil Young songs.
This is not a complaint so much as merely doing some reporting of the situation---I was sitting up in the upper balcony and it was like being in a sauna up there!!!! Thank God someone opened the windows up there and they had plenty of cold drinks available for purchase!!

Ha! The "sound guy" isn't the sound guy on tambourine. It's Nick Radina
from Tropicoso, an amazing percussionist. Tough to tell when he's just
given a tambourine, but he's played with OTR before and it was amazing.
